Trump Calls Putin 'Crazy' After Deadly Drone Strike in Ukraine

In a surprising turn, U.S. President Donald Trump publicly criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, calling him “absolutely CRAZY” following a deadly overnight drone barrage on Ukraine that left at least 13 people dead. The sharp rebuke came despite Trump’s long-standing reputation for speaking positively about the Russian leader.

Taking to his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, “I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin… but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!” He warned that Putin’s ambition to seize all of Ukraine could spell the "downfall of Russia."

Speaking to reporters earlier, Trump expressed frustration with Moscow's military aggression and the stalled peace talks with Kyiv. He also confirmed he was "absolutely" considering tougher sanctions on Russia in response to the escalating violence.

The President of the United State of America, Donald Trump lashed out at the Russia President Putin on Sunday, describing him as “absolutely CRAZY” after overnight drone attacks on Ukraine killing at least 13 people. Trump’s well-known admiration for Putin did not stop the sharp criticism he received from others.

Using his Truth Social account, Trump noted, "I've always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!"

He warned that Putin’s ambition to seize all of Ukraine could spell the "downfall of Russia." "I've always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that's proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!" he added.

Speaking to reporters earlier, Trump expressed frustration with Moscow's military aggression and the stalled peace talks with Kyiv. "I've known him a long time, always gotten along with him, but he's sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don't like it at all," he said.

Trump also confirmed he was "absolutely" considering tougher sanctions on Russia in response to the escalating violence.
