A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe has called out food vendors over what he described as dishonest pricing, accusing many of pretending that rice prices remain at ₦90,000 despite a recent drop in market cost.
In a short statement posted on his social media page, Igbokwe wrote:
“Bag of rice is now being sold between 50 to 65k depending on the brand and yet many food vendors are still manipulating, pretending and selling as if a bag is still being sold for N90k."
The outspoken politician and social media personality urged traders to reflect the new prices in their products and stop exploiting the public.
