Prince Dayo Adeyeye an aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for governor in Ekiti State, declared that the incumbent Governor Ayo Fayose would not be allowed to manipulate the party’s primary election.
Some days after the reconciliation meeting led by the former Senate President, Sen David Mark, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement has reiterated their commitment to back the continuity agenda of the incumbent governor of the state, Ayo Fayose.
This was made known by the Director of Publicity, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM), Chief Niyi Ojo on a radio program on Voice 89.9 FM, "we are in support of the continuity agenda of Ekiti PDP in governance and not continuity of a particular person" he said.
In addition, Niyi Ojo refuted the viral news that Adeyeye has cross carpet to Social Democratic Party alongside Chief Segun Oni. He noted that his principal remains a member and an aspirant in the People's Democratic Party "we can't leave certainty, for uncertainty" he noted.
In furtherance, he noted that based on the agreement we had with the reconciliation Panel led by former Senate President, David Mark, the era of impunity and imposition is over in Ekiti. Also, the party national leadership has assured all aspirants a level playing ground at the party primary to elect the party flagbearer in the July 14 election.
According to the report of the reconciliation meeting, Fayose has agreed to support any aspirant who wins the primary.
