Oduduwa Youths Meets Yolicom, Discussed Way Forward

National Association of O'odua Students and Youth (NAOSAY) on a courtesy visit with YOLICOM at Dr. Beko Ransome Kuti's house (Center for a Constitutional Governance) in Ilupeju Lagos on the 12th Monday February 2018, shuffled the issue of Nigeria government response to the latest herdsmen killings mostly in the Southern region of Nigeria as well as the raging call for restructuring in Nigeria.

In attendance, there were royal dignitaries, professionals and artisans from all part of Yorubalands. The president of National Association of O'odua Students and Youths, Comr. Adesanya Ayodeji  led the O'odua student and youth delegates that came from Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Lagos, Kwara, Ogun to the meeting and also in attendance were the Baálé of Makoko in Lagos State Cheif Raymond Adekunle, the Publicity Secretary of YOLICOM, Arch George Akinola and other people of nitty-gritty.
The insightful book that detailed the beautiful features and struggles of Yoruba kingdom was distributed at the meeting. The book titled: "The Commonwealth of the Yoruba Kingdom; The Reasons Behind our Inclinations Towards Oduduwa Republic" authored by Adeyinka Shoyemi also known as Adeyinka Grandson.
The students/youths expressed dismay on the current attacks ongoing in the southern region of Nigeria by the herdsmen and in their opinions, the regional government was of great benefits to the Old-Western Region. Then the Yoruba nations surpasses other regions in terms of growth and development. In this vein, the students pointed out that, the call for restructuring is long overdue.
To secure the lives and properties of Yoruba nations in Nigeria, the elders asserted for the security empowerment of Yoruba people as a deterrence to the Fulani herdsmen menace. However, the Governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom has called on the people of Benue to protect themselves from the killer herdsmen.
In a lot of reports and as confirmed by the elders at the meeting, the Hausa/Fulani have trooped in and stationed themselves in strategic places in the southern region of Nigeria in other to perpetrate their ancestoral's (Usman Dan Fodio) mission to take the hegemony of the whole regions in Nigeria. Recently, there were newspapers report that the herdsmen have trooped in Ondo State, Lagos State, Ogun State and other southern states. And also herdsmen attacks ongoing in Ondo State, Benue States and others that are not yet on the media.
The inaction of the Nigeria government on the herdsmen menace has not only prompted States in Nigeria to be wary of the Federal government led by the Fulani, but also brought about agitation of mostly southern regions to call to end the country called Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Yoruba nations agitation for the return to regional government was from 1993 up till date, but some regions hindered this as a result of fear of being impoverished while Yoruba nations flourish if the regional government is returned to.
This is the clarification on the parasitic operation of Nigeria during and after Military rules.
In this trend, the Oodua Students and Youths have sectioned a Youth Conference to take place very soon that will bring together delegates from from all southern region states as well as the Middle Belt in Nigeria, in a bid to prefer intellectual conversation towards finding lasting solution to the unanswered National questions.
