As the date of the Ekiti State gubernatorial election draws closer, the intrigues surrounding the electioneering process has reportedly taking a new turn as the supporters of one of the PDP governorship aspirants, Prince Dayo Adeyeye alleged the supporters of the Deputy governor, Prof Olusola Eleka of the plot to unleash mayhem on the members of the Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM).
This was made known in a press update made available to the social media by one Mr Ademiloye, the news was reportedly signed by Chief Niyi Ojo the organization Director of Media and Publicity.
Cheif Niyi Ojo expressed that the attack was being planned "at a secret meeting held at Havana Hotels, Ikere Ekiti yesterday night" "there are plans by supporters of Eleka to unleash mayhem and attack properties and vehicles of members of Prince Adadayo Adeyeye Movement ( PAAM), particularly members of social media group." he noted.
Furthermore, he noted that "the meeting was coordinated by Hon. Wale Ayeni, a member of Ekiti House of Assembly, who also doubles as the Coordinator of Oshoko Mass Movement, in Ekiti State"
However, the update confirmed that the matter has been reported to all appropriate security agencies for investigation
Similarly, the state governor, Ayodele Fayose had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Fulani herdsmen in the state to engender peaceful coexistence and forestall further attack on the lives and properties in the State.
