President Tinubu Appoints New Governing Councils for Three Federal Universities

President Bola Tinubu has appointed new members to the governing councils of the University of Abuja, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (NAU), two months after dissolving the University of Abuja's governing council and sacking its vice-chancellor, Aisha Maikudi, due to eligibility controversies.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed the latest development in a statement on Tuesday titled "President Tinubu appoints new governing council members for three federal universities."

The new governing council members are

University of Abuja
Prof. Rosemary Egonmwan (South South)
Dr. Adedeji Adefuye (South West)
Prof. Sarki Abdulkadir (North West)
Prof. Aminu Dukku (North East)

University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN)
 Ogbonna Odo (South East)
 Muhammad Tahir (North West)

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU)
  Dr. Nkem Okeke (South East)
  Ofoke Ugbala (South East)
  Dame Yakowa (North West)
  Nojeeb Agunbiade (South West)

These appointments are part of President Tinubu's reform efforts to enhance accountability, strategic planning, and academic excellence in Nigeria's federal universities.
