IGP Commissions 50 State-of-the-Art Vehicles for EOD-CBRN Unit

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has commissioned 50 advanced operational vehicles for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal – Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (EOD-CBRN) Unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi made this known in a statement made available to the public today. Adejobi stated that the "vehicles are meticulously designed and equipped to effectively address modern security threats". He added that the effort represents "a deliberate and strategic investment in bolstering the nation's security infrastructure, as the EOD-CBRN Unit remains a critical component in the ongoing fight against terrorism and evolving security challenges." 
Addressing the gathering at the commissioning event, IGP Egbetokun praised the bravery and dedication of the EOD-CBRN operatives, emphasizing that the initiative was part of broader reforms aimed at modernizing the NPF into a technologically-driven institution. 
The Inspector-General expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his unwavering support in strengthening the Police Force. The Force remains committed to its mandate of upholding law and order, protecting citizens' lives and property, and ensuring peace throughout the nation.
